ICC JEJU is located in the Jungmun Sightseeing Complex at the south end of Jeju Special Self-governing Province, the best resting place in Korea.

Entry

There are two ways to fly to Jeju Island: ① direct international flight, ② transfer from Incheon International Airport to Gimpo Airport(domestic terminal) in Seoul.


1. Direct International routes to Jeju International Airport

The Jeju International Airport has both domestic and international routes. International routes connect Jeju and cities of three countries-Japan, China and Thailand. Transferring to Jeju via those cities of the three countries allows you to enter Jeju without a Korean Visa for a stay of up to 30 days.

Countries NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Jeju-do (11 countries):
Ghana, Nigeria, Libya, Macedonia, Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Palestine


2. Transfer from Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport is the largest airport in Korea where 84 major international airlines from 55 countries provide regular flight service between Incheon International Airport and other major cities worldwide.

In case you arrive at Incheon International airport, you should move to Gimpo Airport by ground transportation to take the domestic flight to get to Jeju Island. Please make sure to get to the domestic terminal because it is separated from Gimpo international terminal.

All flights from the seven domestic airlines in Korea fly every 10 minutes and it takes approximately 50 minutes to get to Jeju Island from Gimpo airport.

Airport Railroad

You can travel between to the two airports using the All Stop Train. (This line is not the same as the Express train which runs nonstop from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station.)

Korea Visa & Passport

Entering Incheon International Airport

Foreign nationals entering Korea are generally required to have a valid passport and a Korean visa issued by Korean embassies or consular offices around world.

However, many are now permitted visa-free for a limited period under certain conditions following the "Citizens of the Countries under the Visa Exemption Agreement".

Entering Jeju International Airport

All visitors, except passport holders of the 11 countries below, can enter the Jeju island without a Korean visa for a stay of up to 30 days, if their purpose of visit is tour or visiting.

  • List of non eligible countries:
    Afghanistan, Cuba, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Libia, Macedonia, Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, Palestine

Customs Allowances

All visitors who enter Korea must submit a written baggage declaration to a customs officer upon entry. If a passenger declares non-duty free articles voluntarily, the declared amount will be accepted and the clearance procedure will be expedited, unless the declared price of articles is questionable. Duty Free Allowance

For items that are taxable, US $600 per capita from the total dutiable value shall be exempted from imposition of duty tax.

Additional duty free exemptions are: 1 bottle of liquor (less than 1 liter, not over US $400), 1 carton of cigarettes (200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco) and 2 ounces of perfume (about 60㎖).

For amounts that exceed the duty exemption, duty on the amount over will be charged per capita. Also, the liquor and cigarette exemptions are only permitted for those over 19 years of age.
